Kate Thompson

Kate studied drama at Manchester University, where she discovered theatre in education and was inspired to become a primary school teacher. She gained a PGCE from the University of London in 1992 and has worked as a primary teacher in London, Gloucestershire and Wales over the last 30 years, developing a specialism in the creative arts, meditation and well-being. After discovering a love of the Black Mountains as a child in the 1970’s she finally moved to Talgarth in 2009 and began delivering creative projects in local schools.

She has been teaching at Mount Street Junior School in Brecon since 2015 and continues to deliver meditation, yoga and growth mindset there, alongside her work managing Nature Child.
